Me and my partner found this place from Tik Tok and decided to venture down and check it out, firstly the que was over an hour for our food order to be taken and served which is a long time to wait for food, the food was fresh and can’t compiling about the heart of the meal or anything. However, 2 meals and 2 drinks cost us £28.40 this is a very over priced chip shop in our opinion. I don’t know the ins and outs of the day to day running but that does seem like a massive mark up on that kind of food to be honest. Food was alright wasn’t anything special for what we paid. Don’t think we will venture back to here anytime soon.

It's 20 miles for us to get there but we'll worth it. Shame about the 30 min wait to get served but, again we'll worth it.

A Hidden gem! Be sure to use navigation to get here or you'll never find it! Easily the best chippie in Scotland (Controversial!) Most of whats in the sea is available (I had Hake, Wife had monkfish) served with tartare and lemon as standard. No sitting in as served through a hatch but just round the corner from public car park with stunning views of Arran and the coast. (Time your visit for around sundown, the sunset over Arran is stunning.) If your lucky you will be watching porpoise swimming in the estuary too. Service was quick, but depends on how big a queue...Will certainly be going back..

Ooft. Just, wow. Game changing and a new standard in what chips and the associated sea creatures should be dished up as.
Bit of a birthday jaunt, went for the special and as scallops were sadly off the menu got monkfish. Chunks of it to compliment the langoustines and that whacking great lobster.
The sun was shining and everything was piping hot and perfect. I would struggle to recall a better chip and the fish was god tier.
We shall return. Bit of an adventure from Glasgow but Troon is worth it anyway.
Heads up they are only taking cash at the counter as of Feb 2025. This may change but come with change in pocket or be disappointed.
(Its worth going to a cash machine and back though)
Extra shout out to the lady on the counter. Absalute gem. Thanks for puting the cherry on a crackin birthday outing to the seaside.

The freshest possible fish. By far the best fish and chips I have ever had. Buy it from here, go to the sea shore overlooking Isle of Arran and enjoy the view and food.

Beware there is a window that they take orders from. Not a sit down place. The prices are way to high (8 quid without any sides) and the food needs a wee bit more cooking. The halibut was not cooked all the way. The whiting only had a few pieces of crispy the rest of the fish was soggie. The noodles were thrown out the window and not even the seagulls would eat it. Would not recommend.

Excellent fish and chips. My favourite is the monkfish. A bit more expensive than the other places in town.

Troon's Wee Hurrie fish & chip shop is located in the harbour next to the very fishing fleet likely that catches the chippie's fish. The chippie has an enviable reputation for knockout dinners and the locale ticks the boxes for a must-visit when you're in town.
